In addition to the Boeing Future of Flight and the Flying Heritage museums, Everett is also home to Imagine Children’s Museum, perfect for rainy days while traveling with kids through Washington. The children’s museum has play area, as well as educational exhibits to teach kids about dinosaurs, farms, and more.
At the Schack Art Center in Everett you can admire local art, or watch professional glassblowing! You can also book a glassblowing class to learn this ancient art yourself.
Everett is full of beautiful things to do, with the natural wonderland of the Pacific Northwest in our backyard. Go for a peaceful hike along the Lowell Riverfront Trail’s well-maintained year round routes. Or, take the ferry to Jetty Island Park, just five minutes from the port of Everett. During the summer, you can swim off Jetty Island Park’s sandy beaches, one of the best beaches for kids in Washington.
Everett is home to more than 45 species of birds, making it a birders paradise! Head to Spencer Island Park, Langus Riverfront Park, and the Narbeck Wetland Sanctuary, beautiful, green spaces to admire the local wildlife. Across 400 acres, Spencer Island is one of the best areas close to Seattle for bird watching, with opportunities to see herons, mergansers, falcons, eagles, and more.
